Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Welcome to Lovetrac Cavalier King Charles Spaniels

I have had Cavaliers 24 years having been bought my first one as a pet as a child. My interest grew over the years, and I bought a second one to show when I was a teenager. She did reasonably well, winning at local open shows.

I then bought a Hometown bitch (based on mainly Maibee lines) who I only managed one litter from to Byermoor Rainman. This produced Lovetrac Lawrence who won extensively at Championship level

Shortly before that mating, I met Carolyn Carter who had a Sukev bitch by Motown. This was Sukev Cherry Blossom. We registered the Lovetrac Affix (formed from both our surnames) and put the Sukev and the Hometown girls into joint names. We then mated the Sukev bitch to Lymrey Royal Scandal at Ricksbury (he later became a Champion). It was his first mating! This litter produced Lovetrac Painted Lady.

Carolyn transferred the Affix to me a few years ago as she was busy with other things, and today the dogs are bred by me
(and my young family). They are a much loved part of our family. Our aim is for every generation to be better than the last, and we now have some beautiful dogs in our small team.

I now have many good friends who I have met through the dogs, and also enjoy judging the breed. A particular highlight was being asked to judge the Northern Cavalier club limit show in 2005. I also enjoy “doing my bit” by being involved with the Humberside Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club, having been a committee member since 2003.
